Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to ask for help?

There is never a better time than now to start living a happier, more meaningful life. In all my years as a therapist I have never known someone to say “gee, I wish I had waited longer to see a counsellor” but I’ve had many clients express regret at waiting so long to seek help. This is because once they start counselling they find it helpful and wish they sought help sooner!

Do I need to see my GP before I contact you?

Nope, you can book straight in with me. However, if you wish to access up to 10 Medicare sessions for the year you do need a mental health care plan from your GP (and it is OK to tell your GP who you want to work with). Click here for my tips on how to organise the Medicare rebate.

*please note eligibility conditions apply*

How do I access the Medicare rebate?

Medicare rebates are available. If you’re not sure how to access the rebates I will talk it through with you and if you have any other questions, you’re welcome to send me an email.

do you offer after hours appointments?

I know you have obligations to work around so I’m flexible - I’m available for after-hours and Skype appointments.
